Body Found In North Branch Of Chicago River At Argyle Street

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A body was found in the North Branch of the Chicago River at Argyle street Monday afternoon, police said.

At 1:45 p.m., the police Marine Unit was called to the 3000 block of West Argyle Street – where the North Branch separates Lincoln Square and Albany Park – for a body in the water.

The age and gender of the person who was found dead are not known.

No further information was available, police said.
