Body Found Floating In Chicago River Near Goose Island

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago police are conducting a death investigation after finding a man's body floating in the Chicago River near Goose Island.

The Police Marine Unit discovered the body around 1:40 a.m. in the river near the Halsted Street bridge.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name and age have not been released.

Area Central detectives were investigating.
