Body Found At 31st Street Beach Ruled A Suicide

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The body pulled Tuesday off the shore of 31st Street Beach was ruled a suicide, after an autopsy.

The Marine Unit recovered the dead body of 30-year-old Robert M. Dain at 2:42 p.m. about 100 yards from shore off 31st Street Beach, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Dain lived in the 1300 block of West 31st Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy showed he died of a gunshot wound to the head, said to be self-inflicted. His death was ruled a suicide.
