Woman's Body Found In Burning Car In Andersonville

CHICAGO (CBS)-- A woman's body was found in the back seat of a burning car in Andersonville early Friday morning.

The car was found just before 1 a.m. on Farragut Avenue, just north of Foster. The area is currently blocked off with police tape.

Police responded to a call of a car fire.

Police have not yet confirmed the cause of the woman's death.

Neighbors told CBS 2 they heard noises that sounded like fireworks.

"I saw the whole car on fire," the neighbor said.

Neighbors told CBS 2 they have never seen the car parked there before.
