Bodies Found In Suitcases Were Women: Wisconsin Police

TOWN OF GENEVA, Wis. (AP) — Police say two bodies found inside a pair of suitcases along a rural road in southeastern Wisconsin are female.

Town of Geneva Police Chief Steven Hurley said in a statement that one female was an adult and the second appears to be an adult, although that is subject to further verification. Hurley says further information on the autopsies done in Waukesha County is pending additional test results.

Highway workers came across the suitcases Thursday as they mowed the ditch in the small town, about 50 miles southwest of Milwaukee.

The workers moved them to the roadside. A passing driver spotted the suitcases and called police, who opened them and found the bodies. The chief says one body was found in each suitcase.
