Blue Line Service Resumes After Woman Threatens To Jump At Damen

CHICAGO (CBS) -- CTA Blue Line trains were temporarily halted Friday morning after someone threatened to jump onto the tracks in Wicker Park.

Officers were called to the Damen station at 8:21 a.m. after a female threatened to jump onto the tracks, according to Chicago Police.

She did not jump and was eventually taken to a hospital for mental health evaluation.

Trains were halted at Western because of the police activity, the CTA said in a tweet posted at 8:26 a.m. As of 9:11 a.m., service was resuming with residual delays.
