Blue Cross Blue Shield Tower Pays Tribute To "Mr. Cub" Ernie Banks

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Blue Cross Blue Shield Tower is paying tribute to Mr. Cub Ernie Banks Tuesday evening, with the words "Mr. Cub" and the number "14" lit up on the southern face of the building.

The Hall of Fame Cubs infielder died last Friday of a heart attack at the age of 83.

A public visitation will be held for Banks on Friday from noon to 8 p.m. at Fourth Presbyterian Church at 126 East Chestnut Street in Chicago. Another service will be held at the same location on Saturday at 10 a.m. There will be limited public seating available for the service on Saturday.

The Wrigley Field statue of Ernie Banks will be placed in Daley Plaza Wednesday, where it will remain through Friday. The statue was in the process of being restored.
