Blackhawks To Honor Patrick Kane For Record Point Streak

(CBS) The Chicago Blackhawks will honor Patrick Kane for his record 26-game point streak earlier this season before Sunday's game against the Ottawa Senators.

The Blackhawks say that the ceremony will include video highlights of Kane's point streak and a presentation by general manager Stan Bowman.

Kane recorded a point in 26 games from Oct. 17-Dec. 13, which is the longest streak by an American-born player and the longest ever by a Blackhawk. It was also the longest point streak by any NHL player since Mats Sundin recorded a point in 30 straight games for the Quebec Nordiques in the 1992-'93 season.
