Blackhawks' Stanley Cup Final Tickets Go On Sale Tuesday

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A limited number of tickets for the Stanley Cup Final at the United Center will go on sale Tuesday.

The presale, for fans who purchased a regular season ticket package, begins at 9 a.m., with additional tickets available to the general public at noon, via Ticketmaster. The number of tickets available at noon has not been determined, but they will go fast.

Games 3, 4 and 6 (if necessary) between the Chicago Blackhawks and Tampa Bay Lightning will be played at the United Center.

Tickets on the secondary market are already selling at a premium.

On Stub Hub, a ticket for Game 3 for an upper-level seat is starting at around $700.

If you have the free time, you could jump in your car right now and head down to Tampa for Game 1. Tickets there are cheaper, starting around $350.

Accounting for snacks and gasoline (and a cheap hotel or a free place to crash), you might come out ahead.

The price of Games 3 and 4, will depend largely on what happens in the first two games in Tampa.

"Let's say if the Blackhawks win both games, for some miracle reason, then coming back here to Chicago, that game 4 could be a clincher and that would make it more exciting," said Max Waisvisz of Gold Coast Tickets.

And more expensive.

CBS 2's Jeremy Ross reports some Hawks fans are scouring the internet for a way to jump in early on face-value ticket master sales Tuesday

Before the noon release of tickets to the public, a presale takes place at 9 a.m., provided you have a special code known online as "The Hull Presale Password."

Darwin Cox and his Texas-based family of Hawks fans are some of several asking on Facebook, Twitter and Craigslist for the code given people who bought the Hull nine pack of regular season games.

"A reward for being a loyal Blackhawks fans I can understand that," Cox said.
