Blackhawks Stanley Cup Final Tickets Go On Sale Today

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Don't bother Blackhawks fans at noon on Tuesday. They'll be furiously typing on their computer or smart phones, in an effort to get tickets to one of the team's home games in the Stanley Cup Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Blackhawks will host Games 3 and 4, and Game 6 if needed.

Even if you manage to get your hands on a ticket, the question is: how much are you willing to spend?

Tickets already were selling for a premium on the secondary market. As of early Tuesday morning, standing room only tickets were selling for a minimum of $548 on StubHub, and a few sellers were asking for $10,000 or more for tickets on the glass. Some sellers were even seeking more than $110,000 for upper level seats behind the goal for Game 6, which might not even be necessary, but could also be the clincher for the Stanley Cup.

Tickets directly from the Blackhawks were set to go on sale to the public at noon Tuesday. There's a four ticket limit per customer.

Presale, for fans who purchased a regular season ticket package, begins at 9 a.m., but buyers must have a special code known as the "Hull Presale Password."

Regardless, tickets going on sale Tuesday might not be the best seats in the house.

"It'll probably be a lot of standing room only tickets, just because there's not necessarily season ticket holders for those. So, yeah, I don't know. It'll probably be pretty limited," StubHub Midwest regional manager Jeff Doden said.
