Blackhawks Sign Forwards Sam Carrick, Pierre-Cedric Labrie

(CBS) The Blackhawks have signed forwards Sam Carrick and Pierre-Cedric Labrie to one-year deals, they announced Friday.

The 24-year-old Carrick spent most of last season with the AHL Toronto Marlies, recording 34 points (16 goals, 18 assists) in 52 games. He was a fifth-round pick by Toronto in the 2010 draft.

The 30-year-old Labrie spent last season in the Blackhawks' system with the AHL Rockford Icehogs. He had 34 points (20 goals, 14 assists) in 66 games. The Blackhawks had originally signed him in July 2014.
