Blackhawks Sign Forward Tanner Kero To 2-Year Extension

(CBS) The Blackhawks have signed forward Tanner Kero to a two-year extension that keeps him under contract through the 2018-'19 season, the team announced Thursday.

The 24-year-old Kero has five goals and seven assists in 38 games for the Blackhawks this season, in which he's also spent time at AHL Rockford. Kero started the year at Rockford before being called up on Dec. 22 by the Blackhawks.

The Blackhawks next play when they host the Stars on Thursday night.
