Blackhawks Sign Forward Jordin Tootoo To 1-Year Deal

(CBS) The Blackhawks have signed forward Jordin Tootoo to a one-year deal, they announced Tuesday.

The 33-year-old Tootoo is a 12-year NHL veteran who spent the last two seasons with the Devils. He had nine points (four goals, five assists) in 66 games last season. He had 15 points in 68 games in 2014-'15.

It's likely that Tootoo will compete for a spot as a bottom-six forward.

He was originally a fourth-round pick of Nashville in 2001.
