Blackhawks Sign Erik Gustafsson To 2-Year Deal

(CBS) The Blackhawks have signed defenseman Erik Gustafsson to a two-year contract, they announced Thursday.

The 23-year-old Gustafsson most recently played for Frolunda of the Swedish Hockey League, where he was fifth among defensemen with 29 points in 55 regular-season games.

Gustafsson is a Nynashamn, Sweden, native. He has played in the SHL since 2011.

Gustafsson was originally selected by the Oilers in the fourth round of the 20102 NHL Draft.
