Blackhawks Send Phillip Danault Back To Rockford

(CBS) The Blackhawks have sent forward Phillip Danault back down to AHL Rockford, they announced Monday afternoon. The move could be to clear space for forward Andrew Shaw, who's been out a few games with an upper-body injury.

The 21-year-old Danault made his debut in Edmonton on Saturday night and played again Sunday in a loss to Vancouver. He clocked a combined 19 minutes of ice time in the two games.

Danault had 10 points in 14 games with Rockford earlier this season.

The Blackhawks next play Wednesday, when they face the Avalanche on the road.
