Blackhawks Send Jordin Tootoo Down To Rockford

(CBS) The Blackhawks have assigned forward Jordin Tootoo to the AHL Rockford Icehogs, they announced Thursday.

The move came a day after Tootoo, 34, was placed on waivers, which he cleared. Tootoo hasn't appeared in a game yet this season for the Blackhawks, as he has dealt with an upper-body injury.

He had three points in 50 games last season.

The Blackhawks next play at the Dallas Stars on Thursday night.
