Blackhawks Release 3 Players From Their PTOs

(CBS) The Blackhawks trimmed six players from their preseason roster Thursday.

Forward Drew Miller, forward John Mitchell and defenseman Mark Stuart have been released from their professional tryouts, the team announced.

Chicago now has 54 players in camp -- 30 forward, 18 defensemen and six goalies.

Chicago hosts Detroit on Thursday night at the United Center in a preseason contest.
