Blackhawks Reduce Training Camp Roster To 48 Players

(CBS) The Blackhawks have reduced their training camp roster to 48 players after a series of moves Friday.

Chicago assigned forward Mike Liambas and defensemen Mathieu Brisebois, Dillon Fournier, Dennis Roberston and Nolan Valleau to AHL Rockford. The Blackhawks also released forwards Daniel Ciampini, Jake Dowell and Dane Walters and defensemen Sam Jardine and Nick Mattson.

The team's active roster now has 28 forwards, 15 defensemen and five goaltenders on it.
