Blackhawks Recall Brandon Mashinter

(CBS) The Blackhawks have recalled forward Brandon Mashinter from AHL Rockford, they announced Wednesday.

Mashinter, 27, has yet to appear in a regular-season game for the Blackhawks since being acquired in December 2013. He has seven points (four goals, three assists) in seven games at Rockford this season.

The Blackhawks play next when they host the Devils on Thursday night.
