Blackhawks' Michal Rozsival Suffers Apparent Ankle Injury

By Chris Emma-

ST. PAUL, Minn (CBS) -- The Blackhawks will play the remainder of Game 4 with five defensemen, as Michal Rozsival suffered an apparent left ankle injury during the second period of Thursday's game. He was later ruled out for the game.

The injury came as the Wild's Thomas Vanek skated past Rozsival, whose ankle bent awkwardly during a turn to make the play. Vanek's shot was denied by Corey Crawford, while Rozsival remained down on the ice. Blackhawks personnel helped Rozsival off as he didn't put any pressure on that left leg.

Rozsival had put together a productive Western Conference semifinal series for the Blackhawks, paired alongside Duncan Keith. With one defenseman out, coach Joel Quenneville has elected to mix Keith in with the other two pairings.

The Blackhawks surrendered a goal shortly after Rozsival was helped off the ice, though they led 2-1 over Minnesota in the second period.

Further updates on Rozsival's condition will be provided after the game.
