Blackhawks Fall 2-1 To Blues In Preseason Finale

(AP) Alex Pietrangelo scored early in the third period to lift the St. Louis Blues over the Chicago Blackhawks, 2-1.

Vladimir Tarasenko got his first goal of the preseason in the first period for the Blues. Carter Hutton stopped 11 of 12 shots in two periods for St. Louis, and Jake Allen stopped all six shots he faced.

Dennis Rasmussen scored for Chicago to make it 1-1 early in the second. Corey Crawford stopped 19 shots.

Chicago's next game will be its regular-season opener, when it hosts St. Louis on Wednesday at the United Center.
