Blackhawks' Artemi Panarin Named NHL's 1st Star Of The Week

(CBS) Blackhawks rookie winger Artemi Panarni has been named the NHL's First Star of the Week after recording three goals and five assists in three contests last week.

Panarin became the first rookie in Blackhawks history to record consecutive four-point games, in wins against the Jets and Bruins on Friday and Sunday, respectively. His 28 goals and 44 assists lead all NHL rookies, as do his seven game-winning goals.

Sharks defenseman Brent Burns was the Second Star of the Week, while Penguins goalie was the Third Star.
