Blackhawks Activate Defenseman Michal Rozsival

(CBS) The Blackhawks have activated defenseman Michal Rozsival, who's been out since suffering ankle injury last May and was on long-term injured reserve to start the season.

In a corresponding move, Chicago reassigned defenseman Erik Gustafsson to AHL Rockford.

Rozsival, 37, had 13 points in 65 regular-season games last year before suffering the nasty ankle injury in the Western Conference semifinals. This is Rozsival's fourth season with Chicago, and he was a contributor on the 2013 Stanley Cup champion as well.

Gustafsson, 23, made his NHL debut with the Blackhawks on Oct. 30 and had three assists in six games.

The Blackhawks' next game is Saturday on the road against the Blues. All-Star defenseman Duncan Keith (knee) could return.
