Man Shot In Leg While Driving On Bishop Ford Freeway Near 120th Street

CHCIAGO (CBS)-- A man was shot while driving on the Bishop Ford Freeway near 120th Street Monday night.

Illinois State Police said the driver was shot in the leg around 10:18 p.m., in between 115th and 130th streets, and drove himself to Roseland Hospital.

According to ISP, a 19-year-old male from Chicago sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of gunfire during the shooting.

Police said shots were fired from an unknown vehicle traveling southbound on Interstate 94 between 115th Street and 130th Street.

All lanes have reopened.

ISP said the incident remains under investigation.

Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the shooting or have any knowledge of the shooting is asked to contact the
ISP at 847-294-4400.
