Bike Stolen By "Stroller Bandits" Returned To Owner

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A cook from a Wicker Park pizzeria got his stolen bike back, after thieves with a baby stroller stole it from the back of the restaurant.

The thieves were caught on surveillance video as they walked up to the counter at Craft Pizza, 1252 N. Damen Av., and a woman in the group stole a $10 bill from a tip jar while the clerk's back was turned.

The group then walked into the back of the restaurant, and one of the kids climbed over a locked gate, opened it, and stole employee Aaron Johnson's bicycle.

"If something's not yours don't touch it, that's the bottom line," said Johnson. "That's as clean and as nice as I can put it."

Craft Pizza owner Scott Toth dubbed the group the "Wicker Park Stroller Bandits."

Thursday morning, police said a citizen turned in the stolen bike at the Shakespeare District police station, and the bike was returned to Johnson.

No one was in custody as of Thursday morning
