Bicyclist Struck By Vehicle On Northwestern Campus

EVANSTON, Ill. (STMW) -- A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night on the Northwestern University campus in north suburban Evanston.

The 21-year-old woman was struck while riding her bike at Sheridan Road and Chicago Avenue at 10:50 p.m., Evanston Police Commander Jay Parrott said.

She was taken with a broken leg to NorthShore University HealthSystem Evanston Hospital, Parrott said. Her injuries are non-life-threatening, he added.

The driver had the right-of-way and was not cited, Parrott said.
