Bicyclist Critically Injured In Hit-And-Run In Humboldt Park

(STMW) --A bicyclist was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash Friday afternoon in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 27-year-old man was riding his bicycle about 1 p.m. in the 2600 block of West North Avenue when he was struck by an eastbound dark SUV that was making a left turn on Talman, police said.

The driver did not stop and continued driving, police said.

The man was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

The SUV, described as a dark-colored, four-door GMC or Chevrolet with a shattered back passenger window and rear passenger door damage, was last seen driving northbound on Talman, police said.
