Berwyn Group Looking For WWII Veterans To Honor Next Week

(CBS) -- A Berwyn veterans organization is looking for World War II veterans and their family members for a ceremony next Wednesday marking the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Navy veteran Tony Ward Sr. becomes emotional as he explains he's doing it to honor his brothers.

"I sometimes don't hold it together too well," he tells WBBM Newsradio's Mike Krauser.

Ward, with the Combined War Veterans of Berwyn, wants to honor all of the World War II veterans he can find. They would be in their 90s at this point.

"If we don't honor them now we may never have a chance," he says.

He has 10 taking part now.

Tony Ward can be reached at (787) 800-1705.
