Belmont Pulls Past Eastern Illinois 82-63

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- J.J. Mann scored 15 of his 21 points in the second half and Craig Bradshaw finished with 20 points as Belmont pulled away from Eastern Illinois for an 82-63 win Thursday night.

Reece Chamberlain had a career-high 11 assists while Drew Windler scored 16 points and Blake Jenkins added 15 in the win.

Belmont (21-8, 12-2), which stayed atop the Ohio Valley Conference's East Division with the win, took a 37-31 advantage into halftime and scored 11 of the first 15 points in the second half to open up a 48-35 lead with 16:49 to play. The Panthers never got closer than down eight the rest of the way.

The Bruins made 16 of 25 field goals in the second half and converted 13 of 25 from 3-point range for the game.

Sherman Blanford finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds for Eastern Illinois (9-18, 6-9).
