Bears Waive Santonio Holmes, Make Other Moves

(CBS) The Bears have waived receiver Santonio Holmes, they announced Tuesday afternoon, opening a roster spot to for receiver Marquess Wilson, who can be activated from the injured reserve/designated to return list at any time now.

Wilson was lauded for his strong start to training camp before breaking his collarbone while diving for a pass in an early August practice. He's missed the season's first nine games.

Manning has appeared in three games for the Bears this season and nine contests during his three-year NFL career.
