Bears Waive QB David Fales, Lose DT Brandon Dunn To Texans

(CBS) The Bears waived reserve quarterback David Fales and lost defensive tackle Brandon Dunn off their practice squad when the Texans signed him to their 53-man roster Tuesday.

In corresponding moves, Chicago signed receiver Nathan Palmer and defensive tackle D'Anthony Smith to its practice squad. The Bears also terminated the practice squad contract of center Ryan Seymour.

Palmer spent time with the Patriots' practice squad earlier this season after being on the Broncos practice squad in 2013 and 2014, when Bears coach John Fox was in Denver. He entered the NFL in 2012 as an undrafted free agent of the 49ers.

Smith spent time with the Seahawks in 2014 after previously being a member of the Jaguars and Lions. He was a third-round pick of Jacksonville in the 2010 draft.
