Bears Add TE Tony Moeaki, DL Marquis Jackson

(CBS) The Bears have signed tight end Tony Moeaki and defensive lineman Marquis Jackson, they announced Thursday afternoon.

In corresponding moves, Chicago waived defensive lineman Kenton Adeyemi and linebacker Don Cherry. Their roster sits at the maximum of 90 players as they break minicamp and head off for summer vacation.

A Wheaton-Warrenville South High and Iowa product, the 29-year-old Moeaki appeared in 10 games for the Falcons on 2015, recording three catches. He'll help provide depth at tight end and bring some blocking ability, which isn't the strong suit of starter Zach Miller.

Moeaki and Jackson earned their roster spots after a tryout Tuesday. Jackson played wiht the Portland Thunder of the AFL back in 2014.

The Bears report to Bourbonnais for training camp in 41 days.
