Bears Sign Top Draft Picks Kevin White, Eddie Goldman

(CBS) The Bears have signed first-round draft pick Kevin White and second-round draft pick Eddie Goldman, they announced Wednesday.

A receiver out of West Virgina, White signed a four-year deal with a fifth-year option. A defensive lineman out of Florida State, Goldman signed a four-year deal. Chicago has now signed five of its six draft picks. Only third-round pick Hroniss Grasu, a center out of Oregon, has yet to sign.

The Bears are holding a rookie mini-camp from Friday-Sunday.

White had 109 catches for 1,447 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior in 2014, when he was named a first-team All-American. His four-year deal is expected to be around $15 million with a $10 million signing bonus, the Tribune reported.

"I spoke to you about getting impact players in the draft, especially when you're picking in the top 10, and that's exactly what Kevin White is," Bears general manager Ryan Pace said after drafting White. "We couldn't be more thrilled right now. This guy's dynamic, he's big, he's strong, he's ultra-competitive. If I could stress one word for him, he's 'competitive.' You see it after the catch. You see it in the way he attacks the ball in the air. This is a dynamic playmaker for our offense."

Goldman had four sacks and eight tackles for loss in 2014, when he was named an first-team All-American by the Associated Press.
