Bears Sign LB Sam Acho To A 1-Year Deal

(CBS) The Bears have signed linebacker Sam Acho to a one-year deal, they announced Wednesday.

The 26-year-old Acho spent his first four NFL seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. The 6-foot-1, 257-pound Acho had 21 tackles and a sack last season, when he played in all 16 games and started four. Acho has played 51 games over four years, starting 32 times.

Acho was originally a fourth-round pick in the 2011 draft by the Cardinals. He'll likely compete for an outside linebacker spot with the Bears, who will also have new signee Pernell McPhee, Willie Young and Jared Allen competing there.
