Bears Sign LB Manning To Practice Squad, Release WR Herd
(CBS) The Bears have signed linebacker Terrell Manning to their practice squad and terminated the contract of Greg Herd, they announced Friday.
The 6-foot-2, 237-pound Manning appeared in six games over the past two seasons. He played for the Packers in 2012 and for the Chargers in 2013. He was originally a fifth-round pick out of North Carolina State in 2012.
Herd had spent part of the preseason with the Bears.
