Bears Sign C Taylor Boggs, S Derrick Martin
(CBS) The Bears signed center Taylor Boggs and safety Derrick Martin to one-year contracts, the team announced Monday.
The third-year veteran Boggs played in one game for the Bears in 2013. With Roberto Garza's contract set to expire, he's currently the only center on the roster for the 2014 season.
Martin played in seven contests for Chicago this past season, recording six special teams tackles and one on defense. He's an eight-year veteran who has also played for Baltimore, Green Bay, the New York Giants and New England.
