Bears Running Back Jeremy Langford Carted Off With Ankle Injury

By Chris Emma--

ARLINGTON, Texas (CBS) -- Bears running back Jeremy Langford was carted off the field with an ankle injury during the third quarter of Sunday's contest with the Cowboys. The team ruled him out for the game.

The NBC broadcast suggested that the injury could be an Achillies injury. Bears coach John Fox did not have a sense for the injury's severity.

Langford had three rushes for 31 yards prior to the injury, which included a long run of 23 yards. Rookie Jordan Howard had assumed the role of feature back during the second quarter of the game.

The Bears had just scored their first touchdown of a second half this season as Langford was carted off. They trailed 24-10 at the time.

Monday at Halas Hall should provide an update to Langford's status moving forward.
