Bears Rewind: 'Excruciating' Loss, Trestman Says
(CBS) The morning after a 23-20 loss to the Bills at Soldier Field to open the season, Bears coach Marc Trestman called the result "excruciating" in an interview on WBBM-780.
"Extremely disappointed," Trestman said. "I would call it excruciating today. So many positives throughout the game, but not good enough to win, certainly. We turned the ball over three times and only got one back. At minus-2, it's hard to win in this league."
Despite Chicago allowing 193 rushing yards to Buffalo and its linebackers amassing just six tackles, Trestman believed the rush defense is better than last season's.
"I don't think it is what is was last year, I really don't. They had two long runs. Certainly, we have to be accountable for that. Overall, I saw us running to the ball, fitting up the run."
