Bears' Pernell McPhee Inactive Against Washington

By Chris Emma--

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Bears will be without one of their most important players on defense on Sunday against Washington, with Pernell McPhee being listed as inactive prior to kickoff.

McPhee will miss just his second game of the season, due to a knee injury, one which he has played through most of this season. He has managed it in practice and playfully denied its existence.

"What injury?" McPhee joked weeks back, despite being listed on the injury report that day.

In McPhee's place, Bears outside linebacker Willie Young will get the start. Young also started in McPhee's role for the Bears' 37-13 win against the Rams a month ago.

Additionally, the Bears have listed Marquess Wilson, Antrel Rolle, Bryce Callahan, Antone Smith, Nick Becton, Cameron Meredith and Ziggy Hood as inactive. Wilson was placed on season-ending IR on Saturday due to a foot injury. Receiver Eddie Royal is active.

Kickoff between the Bears and Washington comes at noon from Soldier Field.
