Bears Make Minor Roster Moves

(CBS) The Bears made a series of minor roster moves Tuesday afternoon, the most notable being the release of third cornerback Isaiah Frey.

In addition to that move, Chicago waived defensive end David Bass and terminated the contracts of defensive end Roy Philon and receiver Rashad Ross. In corresponding moves, the Bears elevated cornerback Al Louis-Jean from the practice squad to the 53-man roster and then signed linebacker DeDe Lattimore and linebacker Terrell Manning to the practice squad.

The 6-foot-1 Louis-Jean is an undrafted free agent out of Boston College. He had 36 tackles and an interception in 21 games over three collegiate seasons.

Bass had played in one game for the Bears this year after appearing in 12 for them last season. Ross had appeared in two games for Chicago, returning five kicks for 106 yards.
