Bears Make Minor Roster Moves

(CBS) The Bears made a series of minor roster moves Monday, most notably sending defensive end Lamarr Houston to the injured reserve list with a season-ending knee injury.

In his place, Chicago has elevated defensive end David Bass from the practice squad. The Bears also added tackle Jason Weaver to the practice squad.

Houston tore his right ACL while celebrating a sack late in a blowout loss to the Patriots on Oct. 26. He had just eight tackles in eight games after signing a five-year, $35-million deal in the offseason.

The 23-year-old Bass is in his second NFL season, both with the Bears. He played in 12 games last season, starting one, and has one appearance this season.

Weaver entered the NFL in 2013 as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Mississippi.
