Bears' Injury Report Remains Long

(CBS) The Bears' injury report remains long.

Five players sat out Wednesday's practice: guard Patrick Omameh (ankle), tackle Jermon Bushrod (concussion), receiver Eddie Royal (ankle), defensive back Sherrick McManis (hamstring) and safety Antrel Rolle (ankle) all sat out.

Even more Bears were limited in their participation. They were quarterback Jay Cutler (hamstring), receiver Alshon Jeffery (hamstring), defensive lineman Will Sutton (elbow), defensive lineman Jeremiah Ratliff (ankle), linebacker Shea McClellin (elbow), tackle Kyle Long (back and ankle), cornerback Alan Ball (groin) and punter Pat O'Donnell (knee) were each partial practice participants.

It's expected that Cutler will play Sunday at Kansas City after he returned last week to lead Chicago to a win against Oakland. Jeffery's status remains more in doubt.

Hroniss Grasu did get first-team reps at center Wednesday, he said. That's noteworthy because he's been inactive for the first four games of the season but may get the call to start there Sunday at Kansas City after center Will Montgomery was placed on the season-ending injured reserve Tuesday with a fractured fibula. If Grasu doesn't start, Matt Slauson is likely to slide over from guard, with Omemeh replacing him if he's healthy.
