Bears Hire Tight End, Strength Coaches

(CBS) The Bears continued to add to their coaching staff Thursday evening, announcing they've reached agreements with Frank Smith to be their tight ends coach and Jason George as their strength and conditioning coach.

Smith has 11 years of coaching experience, spending the past five in New Orleans as an offensive line assistant. Prior to his time with the Saints, Smith spent time at the collegiate ranks, coaching at Butler and Miami (Ohio). Smith was an offensive lineman at Miami (Ohio) from 2000 to 2003.

George has 23 years of experience as a strength and conditioning coach, 18 of which have been at the NFL and collegiate level. George has spent the past six seasons in the NFL, working most recently for the Broncos from 2012 to 2014 and previously for the Jaguars from 2009 to 2011.
