Bears' Eddie Goldman Inactive Against Giants

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBS) -- Bears nose tackle Eddie Goldman is inactive against the Giants on Sunday after suffering a setback in his one-game return from an ankle sprain.

While the Bears didn't list a starter at nose tackle, C.J. Wilson is listed as the next man up. He was signed to the roster this week. Backup Will Sutton was placed on season-ending injured reserve this past week. Jimmy Staten, promoted to the active roster Saturday, will see some opportunities, too.

The Giants' rushing attack ranks 31st in the league with 74.2 yards on the ground per game.

The Bears' inactives include cornerback Deiondre' Hall, safety DeAndre Houston-Carson, tackle Bobby Massie, linebacker John Timu, defensive end Mitch Unrein and tight end Daniel Brown. Massie, Unrein and Hall didn't travel with the Bears on Saturday.

During his return to action in Week 10, Goldman recorded a sack and was effective. However, he left late in the game with his ankle injury flaring up. Goldman practiced on Friday in a limited role, that after missing the two prior days.

Kickoff between the Bears and Giants comes at noon CT on Sunday from MetLife Stadium.
