Bears Add To Personnel Department With 3 New Hires

(CBS) The Bears announced three personnel moves Friday, headlined by the hiring of Joe Douglas as director of college scouting and Anthony Kelly as the director of pro scouting.

Chicago also hired Christopher Prescott as an area scout.

Douglas has worked for 15-plus years with the Ravens, including the past three as a national scout. He had a role in Baltimore drafting quarterback Joe Flacco and linebacker Pernell McPhee, who signed with Chicago this offseason.

Kelly has a history with Bears coach John Fox, having spent the past eight-plus year with the Broncos, his most recent job being the assistant director of pro personnel. He played a role in the signings of quarterback Peyton Manning, defensive tackle Terrance Knighton, receiver Wes Welker, linebacker DeMarcus Ware and cornerback Aqib Talib.

Prescott comes to the Bears after spending two-plus years as a college area scout for the Jets. He worked as a scout for the Jaguars prior to that.
