Bank Robbed In Elmwood Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A bank was robbed in west suburban Elmwood Park Tuesday afternoon.

About 4:45 p.m., a man robbed the U.S. Bank branch at 7312 W. Grand Ave., according to a statement from the FBI. It was not disclosed if he made off with any money and the robbery was described as "non-takeover" in nature.

The suspect was described as an approximately 48-year-old Hispanic man, authorities said. He had black hair and wore dark sunglasses, a blue long-sleeved shirt and dark jeans. Additional details were not available Tuesday night.
