Bank Robbed In Aurora

AURORA, Ill. (STMW) -- A woman robbed a bank inside a west suburban grocery Monday morning.

The robbery happened about 10:35 a.m. at the TCF Bank branch inside a Jewel-Osco at 1952 W. Galena Blvd. in Aurora, according to an Aurora police statement.

She passed a teller a note saying she was armed and demanding money, police said. She took an unknown amount of cash and ran southbound through the parking lot.

The suspect is described as white woman in her 20s, about 5-foot-1 to 5-foot-4 with short, possibly blonde hair, and a slim build, authorities said. She had tattoos on her face and was wearing a baggy, white tank top and red shorts.

No one was hurt in the robbery, police said.
