Bakery Robbed At Gunpoint In Avondale, Police Say

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man held up a bakery at gunpoint in Avondale late Wednesday afternoon, police said.

A 46-year-old woman working at the bakery at 3313 N. Milwaukee Ave. said at 4:53 p.m., a man walked in and lifted up his shirt to reveal a gun, police said.

He demanded an unknown amount of cash from the register, police said.

The victim complied, and the suspect ran off with an unknown amount of cash, police said.

Area Five detectives were investigating late Wednesday.
