Autopsy: Woman Strangled In Logan Square

(STMW) -- A woman found dead Wednesday evening in the Logan Square neighborhood was strangled, an autopsy revealed.

The 58-year-old was found dead in the 2500 block of West Moffat at 5:45 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.

An autopsy found she died of asphyxia by strangulation and her death was ruled a homicide, authorities said. Her name was still being withheld Sunday afternoon pending family notification.

Police did not immediately have an update on the investigation.
