Authorities Investigate Suspicious Death In Woodstock

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Authorities are investigating a person's suspicious death inside a home in far northwest suburban Woodstock Sunday afternoon.

The person, described only as male, was discovered dead about 12:30 p.m. inside the home in the 600 block of Leah Lane after an acquaintance of his asked officers to conduct a well-being check, according to a statement from Woodstock police.

He was found "under circumstances that are suspected to be less-than-natural," police said.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force is assisting Woodstock police with the investigation.

"At this time, the Woodstock Police Department assesses that this was an isolated incident and that there is no immediate threat to the general public," police said.
